Charlton’s U18s will play their biggest game of the season so far on Saturday, when they take on Barnsley in the Professional Development League Two play-off semi-final at Sparrows Lane (KO 2pm BST).

Jason Pearce’s side made it this far by comfortably winning the PDL-2 South title for the fourth year in a row, averaging 2.34 points per game over the most recent 29-game season. Barnsley have also had an impressive season, finishing second in the PDL2-North table.
The semi-final is a repeat of last year’s final, which the Tykes won on penalties/
The young Addicks are in excellent form having won their last six and not lost since mid-March. They have also already beaten Barnsley this season, running out 3-2 victors in south Yorkshire just over a month ago.
The strike partnership that day was made up of the in-form Patrick Casey and Micah Mbick, who both boast 42 goals for the season.
