Charlton’s U18s continued their formidable form with a 1-0 victory at Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.
The young Addicks have now won six of their seven Professional Development League Two fixtures in 2024 - including the last three on the spin - and remain unbeaten in the league this calendar year.
Micah Mbick struck the decisive goal in south Wales, coolly converting his spot-kick on 50 minutes.
Midfielder Alan Mwamba did superbly to win the penalty, collecting the ball just inside the Bluebirds half, nutmegging his Cardiff counterpart and driving into the 18-yard box before being brought down by Alyas Debono.
Jason Pearce’s side are next in action on Tuesday, taking on AFC Bournemouth at Canford Park Arena (KO 12pm).
