Charlton’s U18s were held to a 2-2 draw by Sheffield Wednesday at Sparrows Lane on Saturday.
Bruno Fernandes gave the Owls the lead inside three minutes, but the young Addicks responded midway through the opening period through Micah Mbick, who smashed home from close range after being picked out by Alan Mwamba.
Mbick was on target again in the second half, firing his side ahead on 66 minutes. Jacob Safa played the ball into his feet and the striker rolled his marker before rifling into the bottom-left corner.
Charlton looked to have secured a third league win on the spin, only for Devlan Moses to equalise in the fourth minute of injury-time.
The young Addicks are next in action on Saturday, September 30th, when they take on Swansea City in south Wales.
Charlton: Sadler; Okwumo, Hunter (c), Danso, Ashburn; Safa, Fullah (Berry 62), Mwamba; Yamoah (Myers 62), Mbick, Enslin (Brown 88)
