Toby Bower bagged a brace as Charlton’s U18s twice fought back to claim a point at Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
After a goalless first half at Alexandra Park, the hosts took the lead when a long ball forward from the goalkeeper found their number nine in behind and he rifled the ball past Ahmed Kone.
Bower drew the young Addicks level on 72 minutes, curling a left-footed free-kick into the top corner from 20 yards.
The Railwaymen soon restored their lead though, capitalising on a loose pass out from the back and feeding number 11, who slotted past Kone.
There was still time for Bower to bag his and Charlton's second, rolling home his penalty with seconds of normal time remaining to get Danny Senda's side back on level terms.
Both teams saw chances come and go in stoppage time as the spoils were shared in Cheshire.
