Charlton's U18s returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory at Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.
Bradley Tagoe was at the double for the young Addicks, while Jacob Safa netted the all-important winner seven minutes from time.
Tagoe opened the scoring in Suffolk inside two minutes, slotting into an empty net with ease after Emmanuel Sol-Loza had rounded the hosts' goalkeeper.
The winger bagged his brace in style just 17 minutes later. Tagoe collected the ball way inside his own half and marauded forward, feeding Samuel Washington-Amoah who then released Sol-Loza. The forward turned provider again, opening up his body and picking out Tagoe who smashed home.
The Tractor Boys halved the deficit on 36 minutes through Jamie Mauge. A scramble in the box saw Ashton Boswell collect the ball and thread a pass across the face of goal for Mauge to tap in from close range.
Ipswich levelled the scoring midway through the second period as Bobby Sains corner beat everyone and found the back of the net.
Safa regained the young Addicks' lead late on, shimmying past a blue shirt before sending an inch-perfect strike into the bottom-left corner from 20 yards.
Jason Pearce’s U18s are back on the road this weekend as they face Cardiff City (KO 1pm BST).
