Charlton's U18s fell to a 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday on Friday afternoon.
Following a goalless first half at Middlewood Road, Owls forward Devlan Moses bagged a quickfire brace to put the hosts in the ascendancy early in the second period.
Kai Enslin pulled one back for the young Addicks moments later with a well-taken goal following excellent work from Henry Rylah.
Jason Pearce's pushed for a leveller thereafter but it wasn't forthcoming as the hosts held on to claim maximum points.
The U18s are back in action on Saturday, April 15th, taking on Birmingham City at Sparrows Lane (12pm KO).
