U21 CUP REPORT | Leeds United 0 Charlton 3

'

Charlton's U21s stretched their unbeaten run to 10 games with a 3-0 win at Leeds United in the Premier League Cup on Saturday afternoon.

The in-form Ollie Hobden, Henry Rylah and Kaheim Dixon all netted on the day to take the young Addicks two points clear at the top of Group H with two fixtures remaining.

Chris Lock's were quick out of the blocks at the LNER Community Stadium, racing into an early lead within 12 minutes. Hobden netted his fifth of the season from wing-back as he capitalised on a loose ball in the box and converted from close range.

With three minutes remaining of the first half, Rylah added Charlton's second following neat play between himself and Kai Enslin. The winger played a simple one-two with Enslin, before slotting in at the near post with his left foot.

It was déjà vu for Lock’s side as they added a third just moments after the interval. Similar to the second, Dixon played a pass to Kedwell who returned the favour, allowing the Jamaican international to rifle a low effort into the bottom corner to complete the scoring.

The U21s are back in action on Tuesday with a trip to Wheatsheaf Park to face Brentford in Professional Development League Two (KO 1pm GMT).
