Charlton's U21s went joint top of Group H in the Premier League Cup with a 2-0 win at Stockport County on Sunday afternoon.
Chris Lock named several U18s in his starting XI for the tie, with Emmanuel Sol-Loza and Ibrahim Fullah both netting in the second half.
In an end-to-end encounter, the deadlock was broken in the 54th minute as Sol-Loza, who recently penned his first professional contract with the club, capitalised on a mistake at the back.
A mix-up between the Stockport defender and goalkeeper saw Sol-Loza pounce on a loose ball inside the Hatters’ box, firing into an empty net.
It took until stoppage time for Lock’s side to seal the win at the Tameside Stadium. Alan Mwamba lifted a neat ball over the defence, allowing Fullah to latch onto the ball, round the 'keeper and convert with ease.
Up next for the U21s is a trip to Ashton Gate as they face Bristol City in Professional Development League Two action on Monday, November 18th (KO 1pm GMT).
