Charlton's U21s claimed a 1-0 triumph over their Swansea City counterparts in Professional Development League 2 - South action on Tuesday afternoon.
First-teamers Harry Isted, Terry Taylor and Tyreece Campbell played the full 90 minutes at Sparrows Lane and Lewis Fiorini got a valuable hour under his belt.
Taylor fired the young Addicks ahead inside the opening two minutes, stealing possession from a Swans man and curling his strike round goalkeeper Kit Margetson and into the bottom-right corner.
Isted was called into action shortly after as Cameron Congreve let fly from distance, with the stopper getting down well to make the save.
Just moments after the half-hour mark, Campbell curled an effort goalwards which clipped the wrong side of Margetson's upright.
Campbell came close to extending Charlton's lead three minutes into the second-half. The 20-year-old did superbly to capitalise on a mistake at the back and honed in on goal, but dragged his strike wide of the post.
With 13 minutes remaining, Jason Adigun thundered an effort over the bar after dancing his way past two visiting defenders and into the penalty box.
Up next for Chris Lock’s U21s side is a Premier League Cup tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Princes Park on Monday, February 5th (KO 7pm GMT).
