U21 REPORT | Charlton 6 QPR 3

'

Charlton's U21s extended their unbeaten streak to six games with an impressive 6-3 win against QPR U21s in Professional Development League Two on Tuesday afternoon.

Kai Enslin netted a first-half hat-trick and Kaheim Dixon bagged a first-half brace before Trialist rounded off the scoring in additional time.

It took just five minutes for the young Addicks to find themselves in front at Princes Park as Kai Enslin slipped a pass across the box for Kaheim Dixon to fire home.

Dixon secured his and Charlton's second 15 minutes later, with Enslin the provider once again. Similar to the first, Enslin slotted the ball across to Dixon who spun off the defender and produced a neat finish.

Enslin etched himself onto the scoresheet just moments later as he capitalised on a loose touch at the back. The winger dispossessed the QPR keeper and slotted in with ease.

Like Dixon, Enslin claimed his brace in quick succession, finding the back of the net in the 32nd minute. Toby Bower’s lofted ball over the defence found the youngster in behind who rifled in his second.

Dixon turned provider on the cusp of the interval as Enslin rounded completed his hat-trick. The Jamaican international slipped the ball across the box for Enslin to fire in from close range.

QPR came out of the blocks in quick fashion after the restart, netting two goals in five minutes.

The first came as Rayan Kolli added the finishing touches to a good run from Lorent Talla, with the second following just moments later as Fraser Neill converted after a series of chances for the visitors.

The away side added their third on the hour-mark when a goalmouth scramble fell to Kolli who finished with a well-placed effort to claim his brace.

Chris Lock’s side were able to limit the opposition's chances thereafter, despite momentum building throughout the second-half, with Trialist finalising the scoring in additional time.

Ollie Hobden impacted from the bench as he fired a cross over to the Trialist on the edge of the box and he struck home from distance.

Up next for the U21s is a trip to New Cuthbury on Tuesday to face AFC Bournemouth (KO 1pm GMT).
