U21 REPORT | Fleetwood Town 0 Charlton 4

'

Charlton's U21s returned to winning ways with a convincing 4-0 victory against Fleetwood Town at Highbury Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Henry Rylah was at the double for the young Addicks, with Ryan Huke and Jacob Safa also on the scoresheet.

Chris Lock’s side opened the scoring inside 11 minutes when Rylah received the ball on the edge of the box, let fly and found the back of the net with a phenomenal finish.

Just moments later, the young Addicks added their second. Ollie Hobden was able to beat his defender for pace down the flank and fizzed in a cross into the box which was met by Huke, who converted with a well-placed finish.

Charlton's relentless display continued as Rylah bagged his brace ahead of the interval. Ibrahim Fullah was on hand to thread a pass into the path of Rylah, who tucked in his second and the young Addicks' third.

Lock’s side came out of the blocks quickly after the restart, rounding off the scoring through Safa in the 49th minute, assisted once again by Fullah.

Up next for the U21s is a trip to west London on Friday afternoon to face QPR U21s (KO 2pm BST).
