U21 REPORT | QPR 4 Charlton 2

'

Charlton’s U21s fell to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of QPR on Thursday night.

Ryan Viggars and Tolu Ladapo were both on the scoresheet for Danny Senda’s at the Powerday Stadium.

Viggars fired the young Addicks ahead after just six minutes, firing past Murphy Mahoney after the stopper pushed the ball into his path.

Dillon De Silva drew the hosts level 13 minutes later, pouncing on Hamzad Kargbo’s deflected effort and poking past Ahmed Kone.

De Silva doubled his and QPR’s tally on the stroke of half-time, rifling into the top-left corner.

The R’s added a third five minutes after the restart when Steven Bala rounded Kone and slotted home.

Charlton responded and Ladapo soon halved his side’s arrears, only for Kayden Harrack to restore the hosts’ two-goal lead six minutes from time.

Jeremy Santos was shown a red card late on following a challenge on Bala.
