An update on CharltonTV

'

The club can now confirm plans for its live streaming offering for the 2024/25 season.

From the start of the 2024/25 campaign, due to new EFL broadcasting rules, the club will no longer be able to live stream any men’s first-team league and cup fixtures in the UK. However, the club are still allowed to live stream matches outside the UK.

International supporters will be able to enjoy improved game coverage with four-camera productions in place for both home and away fixtures for the 2024/25 season. Charlton legend Steve Brown will join Terry Smith and Greg Stubley in the commentary box to provide further in-depth analysis.

While the club will no longer be producing the CharltonTV pre-match and post-match shows, subscribers will be able to enjoy CharltonTV monthly - an extended show with CharltonTV favourites Scott Minto, Alan Curbishley and Steve Brown, which will bring the same banter and analysis supporters have come to know and love.

The club’s Managing Director James Rodwell said: “The CharltonTV production is an excellent show that is very popular with our supporters. Given the new broadcasting rules as a result of the new EFL/Sky Sports broadcast deal, when considering what we were doing for the 2024/25 campaign, we wanted to make sure we were able to maintain the key components of the show.

“The new monthly show will allow us to keep all of the qualities that have made the studio element of CharltonTV so popular amongst supporters. The show will be available to subscribers based in the UK and around the world.

“Meanwhile, our international supporters will still have access to all Charlton home and away league games and will benefit with four-camera coverage of each game - an improvement on the current three-camera production on CharltonTV for home games and two-camera production for away games.”

As part of the new broadcast deal, supporters in the UK will be able to watch all games not protected by Article 48 live on Sky Sports via Sky Sports+ or on a Sky Sports main channel.
