Charlton Athletic are looking to recruit a number of people to work as supervisors as part of its matchday operational team. No experience is necessary as training will be given, allowing successful candidates to acquire an NVQ3 in spectator safety.
The NVQ3 is a nationally recognised, competence-based qualification that is required for those working as supervisors at spectator events, in particular events taking place within sports stadiums.
Once qualified, the supervisors will be given their own team of stewards to manage and will report directly to the club’s Safety Officer.
Whilst candidates will be expected to commit to work at every first-team home fixture, there will also be the opportunity for those interested to work at various other sporting and entertainment events throughout the year at a variety of venues across London and further afield.
Training for the NVQ3 will be spread over two evenings, plus there will also be two practical assessments during matchdays. Payment for this training will be met by the club, following successful completion of the training.
Candidates must be over 18 years of age, smart and professional in appearance, have a good understanding of English and possess good communication skills, as effective radio communication will be vital to the role.
Applicants should send their CV and a covering letter to: recruitment@cafc.co.uk
Applications should be received by Friday, January 6th 2017.
