George Jones reports
Charlton’s Football For A Fiver ticket promotion will return for the Addicks’ home fixture against Bury on Saturday, February 25th.
As outlined in the club’s 2016/17 events calendar, which was released in August, it will be the second time this season that a first-team fixture has been heavily discounted in SE7, having been used for the match against Rochdale in October.
Football For A Fiver has been an annual event since 2011 and is part of the club’s long-term strategy to grow Charlton’s fanbase by continuing to provide affordable football for existing fans and recognising this as an important factor to encourage new fans to The Valley.
The match also ties in with the club’s annual Academy Day, where we will celebrate the ongoing success of our youth system.
Four academy graduates – Ezri Konsa, Dillon Phillips, Brandon Hanlan and Joe Aribo – have all made their senior debuts this season, while Chris Solly has surpassed 200 first-team appearances for the club.
The day will see all of our junior teams paraded around the pitch, with our U14s, U18s and U23s all showing off the trophies that they lifted last season.
