Academy graduate Ezri Konsa has been called up to the England U20 squad for this summer’s Toulon Tournament in France.
The 19-year-old defender received his first international call-up in March, but was forced to pull out of the squad with injury and will now be hoping to make his England bow at the tournament which starts later this month.
The Youngs Lions begin their campaign against Angola in Aubagne taking on Cuba in Salon de Provence three days later.
The group stage is rounded off on June 4th when England return to Aubagne for their clash with Japan before, hopefully, progressing to the semi-finals.
Konsa’s international recognition caps off a fine first season in senior football for the youngster, who made 39 first-team appearances for the Addicks after making his debut against Cheltenham Town in the EFL Cup last August and was voted as the club’s Young Player of the Year for 2016/17.
