Young Charlton Athletic fans braved the stormy weather by pitching up tents and camping on the pitch on Sunday night.
Season ticket holders and Young Reds aged 7-11 attended a special evening at The Valley where they played table football, Playstation and got the opportunity to play football on the pitch. As part of the event youngsters also watched a film and then camped out on the pitch.
Club Development manager Lisa Squires said: “It was a wonderful evening and it’s really pleasing to see so much enthusiasm from the club’s young supporters.
“Unfortunately the weather took a dramatic turn for the worse during the night and we had to evacuate the tents to the concourse but the children took it very well andit didn’t spoil the fun.
“It was the first time we’ve done this and it will definitely be something we do again. We’ll just be hoping for better weather next time.”
