Patrick Bauer is one of four nominees for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month for August.
The centre-half netted a crucial header in the Addicks 1-0 home win against Bristol Rovers at the start of the month.
He scored his second goal of the month with a perfectly placed header from a Jake Forster-Caskey corner in Charlton’s 2-0 win away to Rotherham United at the end of the month.
The German was very impressive defensively in those two games as the Addicks kept clean sheets.
Bauer’s rivals for the award, which is announced on Friday, are Fleetwood Town’s goalkeeper Alex Cairns, Peterborough United’s Jack Marriott, who scored six goals in August and Rotherham United’s Kieffer Moore who scored four goals but was kept quiet by Bauer and his defensive partner Jason Pearce when the two sides met at the end of the month.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trader Mikey Mumford.
Paul Cook (Wigan Athletic), Paul Hurst (Shrewsbury Town), Grant McCann (Peterborough United), Uwe Rosler (Fleetwood Town).
