Here are four things from our conversation with Ahmed Kashi after the Addicks 2-1 victory over Southend United on Saturday.
On Saturday’s win
We are very happy, it’s another three points. Now we go for the game on Tuesday against Wigan and we hope to win again. It’s important to keep this momentum and mentality to win.
On the league table
We need to stay in this position all the season to go up as soon as possible. It’s good to see we are in second position but it is just the start of the season, but we focus on the next game.
On being injured for much of the last two seasons
It was a very hard moment. I was out two years. It was difficult but I was working very hard for two years to come back as soon as possible. Now I forget this time and I look forward.
On his tendency to slap a teammates head after they score
I don’t think about slapping. I’m just happy when we score. It’s just like this.
