The Valley’s North Stand Fans’ Bar is currently having its heating and cooling equipment upgraded, thanks to long-term Club Partner Andrews Air Conditioning.
As well as helping to ensure that visitors to the Fans’ Bar enjoy a great matchday experience, the significant investment will also see the latest energy-saving technologies implemented, replacing the original equipment from when the North Stand was expanded, which began in May 2001.
Divisional Director at Andrews Air Conditioning Lee Wilks said: “We are delighted that our ongoing partnership with Charlton is enabling us to make more positive contributions to the club and The Valley.
“As well as bringing more comfort to supporters on a matchday, the installation will also help to make The Valley a more energy-efficient stadium, which is, of course, beneficial to the environment.
“We have been working alongside Charlton for a number of years now and hopefully this can play its part in the club having a successful season on and off the pitch.”
The Valley’s Fans’ Bar, located between the lower and upper tier of the North Stand, is open to all season ticket holders and Charlton supporters with match tickets every home matchday.
The bar opens three hours before kick-off, entry is free and all of the early and late kick-offs are shown on its big screens. Food and drink is also available to purchase and up to 500 supporters can occupy the bar at any one time.
