Mark Marshall spoke to the local press after Charlton’s 1-0 win against Oldham on Saturday.
The winger, who was singled out for praise by Karl Robinson for his tireless work in the game talked about the result, the team's play-off chances and players returning from injuries.
The full press conference will be available to watch on Valley Pass later today.
On the win
“We found a way to win. It wasn’t a pretty game but that’s what you have got to do. Even the best teams go through that patch where you have to find a way.
"We came in with a game plan and ultimately we had Stephy Mavididi come back and give us that little sparkle that we needed, he got us a goal."
On chasing a play-off spot
"We can definitely finish in the top six with our current squad. If you look at all the injuries we've got, when these players come back, there will be reasons to be cheerful.
“We’ve got loads of quality. We’ve got Tariqe to come back, we’ve got the other players to come back, and ultimately, they’ll be like new signings.
“I’m a very positive person - you don't want to focus on the negatives. We have what we have. We have a good team and we’ve just got to build.
“The Oldham win is hopefully the start of something new. We can get to where we want to go by playing hard and everyone coming together. If we get new players, that’s a bonus, but we’ve got to work with what we have.
“I can’t say to you we’ll be down in the dumps if we don't get new signings. We need to work hard and we need to graft.
“Hopefully everything can go in the right direction. That’s what everyone wants.
“We need the fans and everyone to get behind us and hopefully we can kick on from here.”
