Ben Reeves is backing Charlton to string a good run of form together after making it back-to-back victories by beating Bury on Saturday.
The attacking midfielder put in an excellent performance at Gigg Lane and he was delighted to see his side record three points for the second successive weekend.
“It’s important for us,” he said, “and it’s a great feeling to be back to winning ways.”
“We need to make sure that the win is not just a one off. We need to get a run going now, like Blackburn did earlier on in the season.
“It’s good that we are back in the play-offs but we don’t want to be just in the play-offs. We want to be right up there; Saturday was a start and now we’ll look to kick on.”
Reeves put in an impressive display on Saturday and he was pleased with his own performance.
He said: “I was disappointed with myself in our last home game in the league, I don’t think I was anywhere near my normal standard.
“I didn’t play the following game, and rightly so, which gave me a wake-up call. I thought I was back to it today and hopefully I can stay that way.”
Winger Ricky Holmes has been linked with a move away from The Valley and Reeves says that, should he depart, the squad will stick together.
He said: “The main thing for us is the group we have now. We need to stick together and whoever comes in or goes out, we need to stay as a tight group and get the results we need.”
