Charlton Athletic Manager Karl Robinson is excited his squad are looking fresh for tomorrow’s game against Shrewsbury Town at The Valley.
The match sees the visitors, second in Sky Bet League One, take on the sixth-placed Addicks and tickets are just £5 as part of the club’s annual Football For A Fiver promotion, meaning a larger crowd than normal is expected.
The Manager has been boosted by the recent returns to fitness of Jason Pearce, Patrick Bauer and Tariqe Fosu, combined with a run that has seen the club take 14 points from their last seven games.
He said: “It’s amazing when you are winning how you can feel fresh. At this moment in time we feel great. We feel we’re in a good place.
“Everyone is fresh, a good week training, we’re really looking forward to it. It is one of the hardest games of the season – you need everybody to be fresh and ready to go.
“It’s going to be a big game on Saturday, they’ll be a big crowd in there, hopefully get over 16,000 in.
“We know one day our objective is to get 20,000 (supporters) consistently at The Valley without cutting the price. One day we hope this will be the norm and not a one-off.
“We want to make this club as good as it has been in future years and that’s really toppling these attendances and that’s our objective to do that.”
It is Football For A Fiver on Saturday, meaning any ticket in the stadium is just £5. You can get your ticket here.
