The Fans’ Forum invites supporters to join together at the 2018 Player of the Year dinner at The Valley on Monday, May 7th.
This is the only annual event at our club organised for the fans, by the fans. As in previous seasons, members of the playing squad will be allocated to the tables of those booking first.
The dinner will take place in the North Stand lounge with doors opening at 6pm. A two course meal will be served from 7pm once the players and management team have taken their seats and the bar will be open from 6pm until late.
Following dinner, the evening’s raffle will be drawn with excellent prizes on offer, including some signed club memorabilia.
The results of the voting will be announced with second and third-place trophies presented before the 2018 Player of the Year is unveiled. Additional trophies will also be given, including to the Young Player of the Year, the CADSA Player of the Year and the CACT award for services to the community. The manager will then bring this part of the evening to a close with his thoughts on the season and a message to supporters.
Once the formalities are over, the mingling begins with opportunities for photos and autographs with your favourite players and management staff.
Bookings will be taken for the event from 9.30am on Monday, March 19th by ringing the Ticket Office on 03330 144444 or visiting in person. Alternatively, tickets can be booked online.
When booking you will be asked to provide your name (as an individual or as head of your party) and contact details in case there are any queries.
The cost for this event is £40 pp with concessions available for one carer per disabled supporter, which can be purchased at a cost of £20.
Tickets will be limited to a maximum of ten per person to give as many supporters as possible the chance to attend this popular event. It may not be possible to increase the number of tickets purchased at a later date, therefore we urge you to make contact with your group prior to booking and to book under one person’s name. Dress code for the evening is smart casual.
This is a supporters’ event organised by fans for the fans. Any profit from the dinner will be deposited in the Fans’ Forum account. In the past, donations from this have been made to the Charlton Athletic Museum and to items required for the maintenance of the Pierre Bolangi Memorial Garden.
