Charlton will compete against Shrewsbury Town in a two-legged play-off semi-final next week.
The winner of the tie will face either Rotherham United or Scunthorpe United at Wembley Stadium, with the winner of the final earning a place in the Sky Bet Championship.
The first leg of Charlton’s semi-final will be contested at The Valley on Thursday, May 10th. All home tickets purchased in advance are being sold via Ticketmaster and below are our FAQs.
When do play-off tickets for our home game go on sale?
Tickets for Charlton’s home leg on Thursday will go on sale from 9am on Sunday, May 6th. In advance, all tickets will be available to purchase through Ticketmaster. Can all Charlton supporters buy play-off tickets as soon as they go on sale?
Play-off home leg tickets will initially go on sale to season ticket holders and Valley Gold members.
Season ticket holders will be able to purchase up to four tickets and Valley Gold members can do likewise. Season ticket holders and Valley Gold members can purchase their tickets from 9am on Sunday, May 6th.
Season ticket holders and Valley Gold members will also be able to purchase tickets for other season ticket holders and Valley Gold members if they want to. The easiest way to do this is by phone but it can also be done online. They will need to activate their friends’ accounts and assign them to their own. In order to do this, supporters will need all of their friends’ Client Reference Numbers at the time of purchase.
Tickets for Charlton’s home leg will go on general sale from 8am on Tuesday, May 8th. Supporters can buy up to six tickets each and season ticket holders and Valley Gold members will be able to buy an additional two (if they have already purchased four).
Do 2017/18 season ticket holders have to buy tickets for the home leg?
Yes. Supporters were able to gain entry to all 23 of Charlton’s 2017/18 regular home league matches with their season tickets. Season tickets do not cover cup or play-off matches.
Do I have to sign up for a Ticketmaster account to purchase by play-off tickets?
No. Charlton supporters will have to enter their Client Reference Number to purchase their play-off tickets online. They will then have to insert an email address and create a password but this will sign sign fans up for Ticketmaster.
Season ticket holders will have their CRN number printed on their season ticket card and all supporters on the club’s database will also have been emailed their CRN number. For more details on CRN numbers, please see below.
Where can I buy my play-off tickets?
All tickets purchased in advance are being sold via Ticketmaster and they can be purchased online or by phone.

Tickets will be on sale via Ticketmaster until 2pm on Wednesday, May 9th. They will then temporarily come off sale to enable Ticketmaster to transfer the data of all unsold tickets to the club.
All unsold tickets will then be printed at The Valley and any remaining tickets will go back on sale at 9am on Thursday, May 10th. It is anticipated that all tickets could have sold out by this time but any remaining tickets will be available to purchase in person from The Valley or through The Valley’s phone lines.
Disabled tickets will also be available to purchase in advance on Ticketmaster by phone.
How much are play-off tickets for the home leg priced at?
Charlton’s play-off semi-final home leg match has been classified as an Addicks Gold game. Full prices are available to view by clicking here and fans should be aware that transactions will be also be subject to a £2.50 booking fee.
What information will I need to provide to buy my play-off tickets?
When buying online, supporters will need to provide their Client Reference Number. All supporters on the club’s database will have been emailed their CRN on Saturday. If supporters have not received an email, they should check their junk folder.
Season ticket holders should be aware that their CRN number is printed on their season ticket card. If you are a season ticket holder and your CRN number on your season ticket is different to the one you have been emailed you should enter the one that is printed on your season ticket.
Fans who do not know their CRN number can obtain it by contacting Ticketmaster’s supporter services team. Their opening hours are listed below.

The supporter services team cannot sell tickets to supporters but can help to deal with all supporter enquiries. Fans can also contact The Valley ticket office to obtain their CRN.
The club have emailed me my Client Reference Number but it is different to the one that appears on my season ticket. What should I do?
In this situation, supporters should use the Client Reference Number that appears on their season ticket when activating their account with Ticketmaster.
Some supporters may have more than one CRN number, if they have registered with Charlton’s ticket office more than once.
I want to buy my play-off tickets in person. Am I able to do this?
In advance, tickets will only be on sale through Ticketmaster. Tickets can be purchased online and by phone.
Tickets will only be on sale in person from The Valley on the day of the first-leg match, though it is anticipated that the game may have sold out by that time.
I’ve tried to buy tickets through Ticketmaster but I am having difficulties. What should I do?
Supporters who are having difficult buying tickets online through Ticketmaster should contact their sales team on 08444 539074.
Fans who are unsure of their Client Reference Number should be aware that it is displayed on their season tickets. Non-season ticket holders can obtain their CRN by contacting The Valley’s ticket office or Ticket Master by phone.
I am a season ticket holder. Will my season ticket seat be reserved for me and, if so, how long for?
Yes. Season ticket holders’ seats will be reserved by Ticketmaster until 6.30am on Tuesday, May 8th. After this time, seats will be released and made available for all Charlton supporters to purchase.
Season ticket holders can purchase up to four seats before 8am on Tuesday, May 8th.
I am a season ticket holder and have entered the relevant information into Ticketmaster but cannot seem to buy online. What should I do?
Supporters who are having difficulty purchasing online should contact Ticketmaster’s sale team via phone. They can be reached on 08444 539074.
I don’t own a printer or have access to one. How can I print my tickets for the match?
Supporters who do not own or have access to a printer should be aware that the barcode present on their print-at-home tickets can also be scanned on a smart phone. Fans can gain entry to The Valley by scanning the barcode from their smart phone when they get to the turnstiles on matchday.
Alternatively, supporters who purchase their tickets via Ticketmaster can visit The Valley before the day of the match and the ticket office will print their tickets for them. The ticket office have extended their opening hours to help fans with this.
The ticket office will not be able to reprint tickets on the day of the match, due to the busy crowd expected.
When buying my tickets on Ticketmaster, can I select my seat?
Yes. When buying tickets online, supporters will be able to select the stand, block, row and seat that they wish to sit in. This can be selected on a desktop computer or mobile device.
I want to travel to the home leg on the Valley Express coach service. Is this possible?
Yes. Valley Express will be running its normal services to SE7 on the day of our home-leg match. The cost of the Valley Express is £11 per person and it can be booked by visiting The Valley’s ticket office in person or by calling Charlton’s ticket office on 03330 14 44 44.
I would like to purchase hospitality for Charlton’s home leg. How can I do this?
A number of hospitality packages will be available to book for Charlton’s play-off home leg, with prices starting at £20 per person +VAT.

When will away-leg tickets go on sale?
Tickets for the away leg of Charlton's two-legged semi-final will go on sale on Tuesday morning. Tickets for the away leg will be sold through The Valley's ticket office and full away-leg information will be published on Sunday afternoon.
Why Ticketmaster?
With a potential home leg as early as Thursday and a high demand for tickets anticipated, the demands on the ticket office are much higher than for a typical Charlton match. Therefore the decision was taken to work with Ticketmaster on the selling and distribution of home leg tickets.
I am a Shrewsbury/Rotherham fan. Do I have to buy my play-off tickets through Ticketmaster as well?
No. The away club will be sent an allocation of tickets and they will be sold to away supporters through their own club.
