Charlton manager Lee Bowyer has made one change from the side that beat Blackburn Rovers at The Valley a fortnight ago with Arsenal loanee Stephy Mavididi starting in place of Mark Marshall who moves to the substitutes bench.
There is a place on the bench for Tariqe Fosu, who hasn’t played since limping off against Portsmouth, where he sustained a hamstring injury. The winger, who came second in fan Player of the Year voting after netting nine goals, had been expected to miss both legs of the semi-final.
Ben Amos, who became the first Addick to play every league game for 10 years, is set to start in goal. Ezri Konsa, Patrick Bauer, captain Jason Pearce and Player of the Year Jay Dasilva will make up the back four. Ahmed Kashi and Jake Forster-Caskey will play in central midfield with Ben Reeves on the right of midfield and Mavididi expected to start on the left. Top goalscorer Josh Magennis will be partnered by Portsmouth match-winner Nicky Ajose up front.
Joining Fosu and Marshall on the bench will be Dillon Phillips, Naby Sarr, Anfernee Dijksteel, Valley Gold Young Player of the Year Joe Aribo and Michael Zyro.
Fans can listen to the game live on Valley Pass from 7.30pm – a matchday pass costs just £4.
