Jason Pearce has thanked Charlton’s fans for their support throughout the 2017/18 campaign.
The Addicks' season came to an end on Sunday, when they were defeated by Shrewsbury Town in the Sky Bet League One play-off semi-finals.
The south-east Londoners were backed by a sold-out away end at Montgomery Waters Meadow and afterwards Pearce was grateful to Charlton’s traveling contingent.
“The fans have been fantastic for us,” the centre-back said. “They helped us to get to where we were and we can’t thank them enough on behalf of myself and the rest of the players.
“To see them when we were losing 2-0 on aggregate on Sunday and they were all still there, I can’t thank them enough. We appreciate all their support and I’d like to apologise for not being able to get to the final and go up.”
