A number of signed items are up for auction on the club’s official Ebay site, with all proceeds going to Prostate Cancer UK.
Ahead of Friday's London to Amsterdam bike ride, Charlton are putting the items up for sale as a way of raising money for Team Addicks’ cause, with 18 members of staff from the club and Community Trust, as well as former players Scott Minto, Bob Bolder and Garry Nelson, taking part in the 145-mile charity cycle.
The unique items of Charlton memorabilia include Michal Zyro’s and Stephy Mavididi’s signed home shirts from their official unveiling when signed in January and Billy Clarke’s match-worn boots.
Also included in the auction are a signed copy of Johnnie Jackson’s special edition of Valley Review from the Blackburn Rovers match in April and a copy of the matchday programme from Lee Bowyer’s first match in caretaker charge against Plymouth Argyle, signed by the man himself.
Bidding will be open for seven days until Wednesday, June 6th. Click here to head to the club's official eBay page to start bidding.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, affecting one in eight white men and one in four black men. It's a huge issue that cannot be ignored. One man will die from prostate cancer every 45 minutes in the UK, which equates to over 11,000 men a year. Based on current trends, this number will rise to over 14,500 men a year by 2026 if nothing is done.
