Kit Graham has signed a new contract with Charlton Athletic Women's team to commit her future to the club.
The news follows the signing of Gemma Bryan from Crystal Palace Ladies this week meaning the Addicks will have the top two goalscorers from last season’s FA Women’s Premier League in their Championship side next season.
Graham scooped the club’s Players’ Player of the Year award last season, adding to her FA Women’s Premier League South Golden Boot and FAWPL Championship Play-off Player of the Match trophies.
Speaking with Valley Pass, Graham was pleased to be able to commit her future with the club.
The 22-year-old who has already netted 200 goals for the club said: “It feels nice to know that Charlton wanted to keep me. They made that clear last season as well so it was a no brainer to sign, this is where I want to be,
“Next season to stay on the scoresheet will be my one aim. I’m not expecting to score as many goals as I’m use to but that’s a challenge in itself which I’m looking forward to.”
Manager Riteesh Mishra is pleased that he will be working with Graham again.
He said: "I am delighted not only personally, but for the football club that Kit has signed to remain with us.
"She’s someone who has had opportunities to play at a higher level and I’m pleased she now has that chance with her club.
"I’ve seen a big improvement in her as a player and person these past 12 months, and her work both on and off the pitch last season had a big impact on how we performed.
"I’m excited to see her continue to get better and lead us in to our first season in the Championship"
