You can read four talking points on the game here. Below are four further talking points from his conversation today.

On Anfernee Dijksteel who has been out with pneumonia…

“Anfernee Dijksteel he’s back in training now but he’s going to be out for a few weeks getting ready. The first minutes he’ll be able to play back will be against MK (Dons), so we’ll look to get some minutes into him then.”

On bringing players in…

“We’re definitely working on that. We have done from the beginning though but we have to be careful, like I keep saying, we want to bring in good players that are going to make a difference for us and make the competition stronger for the lads that we’ve got here. We’ve got a good squad here at the moment once they are all fit but we need to add to that, we know that, the owner knows that. We will do it but we will be picking the right people we think will make the difference.”

On if he’ll be appointed permanent manager…

“It’s not about me or what my situation is. It is what it is. I’m sure that will get resolved at some stage but my focus is making sure the team is ready for Saturday and that’s what I’m doing.”

On the trialists currently at the club...

“They all know where we stand and the situation but none of them will be travelling with us for Saturday.”
