Charlton’s Young Reds had the opportunity to head pitch-side on Saturday to star in their annual group photo.
The snap – which was captured just outside of The Valley’s tunnel – enabled members of the club’s official junior membership scheme and their parents to get up close to the hallowed turf.
Prior to the photo call, Young Reds members and other junior Addicks had been participating in a number of activities in Charlton’s Family Activity Zone.
Open every home matchday and hosted in Valley Central and in the West Stand Park, the zone is a great way for young supporters to warm-up for games in SE7.
Inside, youngsters can play FIFA, pool and table tennis and outside for Saturday matches the FAZ’s football cage is available to use. The Family Activity Zone is open 1.15pm-2.30pm on Saturday matchdays.
Charlton’s Young Reds also featured in Saturday’s matchday programme and were able to collect a start of season gift from Valley Central - a size one skills ball. Any Young Reds who were unable to pick up their gift on Saturday can collect theirs on Saturday, August 25th when the Addicks face Fleetwood Town.
For 2018/19, the Young Reds has been revamped into a three-tier scheme and now caters for youngsters 0-3, 4-12 and 13-17.
All junior season ticket holders are automatically enrolled into the scheme and non-season ticket holders can be signed up for £20 for 2018/19 by clicking here.
