Jamie Ward will make his Charlton debut in Saturday’s Sky Bet League One clash at Bradford City, as Manager Lee Bowyer makes three changes to his starting XI.
The Northern Ireland international joined the Addicks on loan deadline day before heading off on international duty, and his maiden Charlton appearance will make him the 867th man to represent the club since it first entered the EFL in 1921.
Elsewhere, Ben Reeves and Josh Cullen return to the side, with trio Darren Pratley, Nicky Ajose and Naby Sarr dropping out. The latter takes his place on the bench with the other two missing through injury.
The team news in full sees Jed Steer start in goal. He will be protected by a back four of Chris Solly, Patrick Bauer, captain Jason Pearce and Lewis Page. Ahead of them, Cullen, Reeves, Ward and Joe Aribo make up a midfield quartet with Lyle Taylor and Karlan Grant operating up front.
