Heading up to Portsmouth on Tuesday evening? Here's everything you need to know about an away day at Fratton Park...
The travelling Addicks will be housed behind the goal in the Milton End at the north end of the ground. Although a roof now features on the previously-uncovered stand, it does mean that a couple of supporting poles may obstruct some views.
Entrance to the stand is via the alleyway which runs behind it. With the seats having been attached to the old standing terrace, there is not a great deal of leg room, while concourse facilities are basic.
The basics are available inside the ground from a tea hut, while there are a number of vans in the car park and on the approach from Fratton Park which offer a decent burger as well as a good fish and chip shop.
Behind the Fratton End, there are a number of options, including McDonald’s, KFC and Subway surrounding a large Tesco.
No alcohol is available to away supporters inside the ground. Nearest to the ground, the Good Companion is OK, but the Shepherd’s Crook is recommended for away fans. The Brewers Arms and the Milton Arms also welcome away fans. Travelling supporters should avoid the Newcome Arms.
There are plenty of other options more central to town, especially at the Hard close to the sea.
Postcode is PO4 8RA. There is a car park at the ground, but will likely be very busy, so street parking is a better bet. Thankfully, there are few parking restrictions in the roads close to the ground, so there should be spaces available if you arrive in good time.
Alternatively, Miltoncross School, which is five minutes from the ground, offers parking for £6. There is also a large car park on the corner of Velder Avenue and Milton Road which charges £5.
Fratton is the closest station, with regular trains running from London Waterloo. The journey takes less than two hours and the last train back to London is at 22.28, arriving at 00.33.
Tickets will be available from the ground on the evening, with a £2 increase on the original price. Prices on the night are as follows:
Adult: £25
Over 64: £19
U23: £17
