Charlton manager Lee Bowyer was thrilled with the togetherness his team showed in today’s 1-0 win at home to Accrington Stanley.
The Addicks overcame the sending off of Lyle Taylor, which the club will appeal, to secure a stoppage-time win through a Karlan Grant penalty.
Bowyer said: “I said at the start of the season that what we have and what we’ve built here is something special. There are not many dressing rooms that I’ve been in over 18-20 years in football that have what we have here, their will to win.
“Teams are going to make it hard and you have to win ugly sometimes. You have to keep going and believing and that’s a hard thing to do when you have to keep going with expectation. I think everyone knows that we demand that we go to the end and we got our reward today and so did the fans. I’m sure everybody will be going home happy.”
Lee Bowyer's post-game press conference will be available on Valley Pass this evening. A half-season pass costs just £30 while a monthly pass is £6.50. Click here to sign-up.
