Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce that Chris Powell, Steve Avory and Damian Matthew are all to attend Chris Solly’s testimonial dinner on Sunday, March 17th 2019.
Having made over 200 appearances during his playing career for The Addicks, Powell became a fan favourite at the club and went on to manage the Addicks from 2011-2014, gaining promotion to the Championship as League One champions in 2012.
Powell is joined by his former colleague Matthew, who had a nine-year spell as a coach at the club between 2006-2015. Matthew witnessed the rise of Chris Solly during his time at the club.
Academy Manager Avory played a key part Solly’s success from the academy to the first team and will also be present on the night. Avory has recently praised Solly as part of the #RaisedInTheEFL Campaign.
Solly will be joined by more Addicks' greats and current first-team players, who will be announced in due course.
