MATCH PREVIEW | Doncaster Rovers v Charlton

Charlton face a promotion six-pointer on Saturday afternoon when they head to the Keepmoat Stadium to take on play-off rivals Doncaster Rovers.

The Addicks are fifth in Sky Bet League One, with Rovers sitting one place behind them in sixth. Charlton hold a five-point advantage over Saturday’s opponents but, importantly, Donny have a match in hand, due to their impressive run in the FA Cup this season.

Rovers had been in good form of late but have slipped up in their last two games, drawing with Scunthorpe United last weekend and losing at Shrewsbury Town in midweek.

A win for Lee Bowyer’s Charlton – who beat AFC Wimbledon on Saturday – will move them eight points clear of Doncaster and would also edge them closer to securing a play-off place.

Charlton will be able to call upon Krystian Bielik again, with the Arsenal loanee having completed his two-match suspension.

Josh Parker could also return after recovering from illness and Jason Pearce is again likely to be involved. Youngster Albie Morgan is set to play for the Addicks’ U23s on Friday and Jake Forster-Caskey and Lewis Page remain sidelined.

For Doncaster, Joe Wright is out with an ankle injury.

Charlton Manager Lee Bowyer: "We’re still pushing for top two. Teams have been dropping points and there will be more points dropped before the end of the season. It’s in the top two’s hands, but if they slip, I want us to be in a position to take advantage."

Doncaster Manager Grant McCann: "They’ve been up and around the top six just like we have all season, Lee Bowyer has a very good side there, but it’s all about us and what we do, we have to make sure we have a positive reaction to recent results."

Charlton and Doncaster have met 12 times in the past, with two of those games coming earlier this season.

The Addicks have won seven of the previous match-ups, with Donny winning on four occasions.

Charlton beat Rovers 2-0 at The Valley in Sky Bet League One earlier this season and highlights of the game are available to watch on Valley Pass.
