Charlton Athletic will be well represented in this year’s London Marathon as Johnnie Jackson takes on the mammoth challenge alongside First-team Sports Scientist Ben Talbot to raise money for Demelza Hospice Care.
The pair have been in training for a number of months ahead of the 26.2-mile task which takes place on Sunday and begins in nearby Blackheath before passing by The Valley at the five-mile mark.
Supporters can sponsor both runners by visiting either Jackson’s Just Giving page by clicking here or Talbot’s Just Giving page by clicking here.
Jackson has auctioned his match-issue, special edition home shirt commemorating the 25-year anniversary of the club’s return to The Valley to help raise an extra £770 for the cause.
Meanwhile, Talbot is auctioning Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany's match-worn shirt and captain's armband from the 2018/19 season . Click here to view the item and make your bid to help towards a great cause.
