Below are some of the talking points.

On Joining Charlton…

“It feels good, it’s a great club with a great fan-base. I’ve heard good things about the club and I’m excited to get going.”

"I’ve played here before. I remember the atmosphere was buzzing then so I’m hoping we can replicate that this season and we can have a strong season.”

On what to expect…

“I like to get the ball and play. I like to organise, and I like to defend as well, I’m a defender first. But I like to give the fans something to cheer about, something to get excited about. But I love to keep clean sheets and that’s my aim.

"I can play anywhere across the back four. I’ve played in a four, before. I’ll play wherever the manager needs me really. I’ll put everything into the game and hopefully the fans will love my effort.”

On reuniting with Lyle Taylor…

"Yeah, I’m back with my good friend Lyle Taylor. He’s been on at me all summer [to join] to be fair. We had a really good relationship at Wimbledon and before Wimbledon. We had a good chat and when we heard about the interest, he was really excited. I’m sure he’ll be very happy to see me!"
