Ahead of the Addicks trip to play Barnsley on Saturday, Lee Bowyer spoke to the press about playing the Tykes, Tomer Hemed's ongoing transfer, Injuries and the players training with the club.

On looking ahead to Barnsley…
"Its going to be tough, they got a good result at home in their first game against Fulham. I’ve watched them. They worked hard. They’re a physical side and they’ve got players that can hurt you. We have to respect them because they finished above us last year. We know they’re a good side and they’ve spent money in the summer so it’s going to be tough.
"Every game Is going to be tough but if we go about it in the right way and we apply ourselves in the right way and compete, because we’re definitely going to have to compete with them, and if we do that then hopefully we get a result we want and that’s a win.
"I believe in the players I have, and they’ll give everything, and we’ll see what we come back with on Saturday."
On Tomer Hemed’s transfer…
“We’ve not heard anything back. Steve Gallen sent another e-mail across just yesterday asking for some sort of response. It’s been a week now, so I don’t know what’s taking so long. I’m guessing it’s what’s going on with Bury and Bolton at the moment. I guess all their focus is on that.
"It’s wrong because there are other clubs that are in the Football League as well and we’ve got a player that should be here playing with us and training with us and we’re getting no answer. All we can do is keep chasing.
[Hemed] keeps texting Steve Gallen saying; ‘what’s happening have you heard anything?’ two or three times a day. We’re obviously pushing things our end but we’re getting no reply. It’s wrong, it’s a kids career and it’s two games now he’s missed where he could have been playing with us. It’s not good, I understand other clubs have got problems but we’re a part of the league as well so we should all be treated the same.
"We’re just hoping that they come back with the right decision. We haven’t given up hope, we just hope that they come to see that everything was done right our end."
On injuries, Callum Harriot and Tyrone Mears…
"No fresh injuries, so we are as we were last weekend, we’re all good.
"We’ve said to Callum that we won’t be signing him, he just thanked us for letting him come in and train and get fit, and Tyrone has only been in from Monday, Tuesday so we’re not going to rush with that one so we’ll give him today and tomorrow and speak to him at the weekend."
