Charlton have completed the signing of Israel international Tomer Hemed on a permanent deal from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 32-year-old striker has put pen to paper on a one-year contract at The Valley and becomes Lee Bowyer’s 14th signing of the summer.
Hemed has netted 37 goals in 94 Championship games, including 13 goals the season Brighton were promoted to the Premier League in 2016/17.
He’ll join former Brighton and Maccabi Haifa teammate Beram Kayal at the club following the midfielder’s arrival on loan at The Valley earlier this month.

Hemed began his career at Maccabi Haifa and enjoyed loan spells at Maccabi Herzliya, Bnei Yehuda and Maccabi Ahi Nazareth before an impressive 2010/11 season at Haifa where he caught the eye of La Liga outfit Mallorca.
He then joined Almeria in 2014/15 before signing for Brighton the following season. Hemed spent last season on loan at QPR scoring seven goals in 21 Championship appearances.
Hemed is set to train with his new teammates for the first time on Tuesday and is available to play immediately.
