Charlton Athletic were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former player Dennis Edwards on Friday, September 13th.
Edwards - who was aged 82 - represented Charlton from 1958 to 1965 and scored 66 goals in 187 appearances for the Addicks.
Slough-Born Edwards began his career at his hometown club Slough Town before turning professional with Wycombe Wanderers in 1957.
The forward arrived in south-east London in 1958 and went on to represent Charlton a total of 187 times, finding the net on 66 occasions making him the clubs 14th all-time goalscorer.
in 1958, Edwards turned out twice for the England national team's amateur side, scoring three times.
After leaving Charlton Edwards enjoyed spells at Portsmouth, Brentford and Aldershot FC.
