Charlton’s players know what Saturday’s derby against Millwall means to the fans according to stalwart Chris Solly.
Speaking exclusively to Valley Pass the right back said Lee Bowyer’s boys are ready to end the Addicks’ winless streak at The Den.
He said: “For me I’m fully focused on the game on Saturday. The boys are fully aware of what the game means to the fans. Bows has made that clear throughout the week. We’ve prepared well all week, we go there off the back of a decent start this season and we’re confident we can go there and get all three points.”
Solly has been on the wrong end of losses against Millwall in the past but believes this team is as well equipped as any to secure victory.
“I think we’ve got the perfect balance this season,” he explained.
“People have seen we can play but we can also mix it and when we have to mix it we are more than a match for anyone in this league. I think that’s what it will be about Saturday, being up for the battle, mixing it with them and being brave enough to get on the ball and play. We’ve got to stamp our style of play on the game and if we do that I’m confident we’ll come out with the win.
