Andre Green will make his league debut for Charlton in today’s game against West Bromwich Albion at The Valley.
The 21-year-old is one of four changes Lee Bowyer has made from the team that played Swansea City last week.
Alfie Doughty, Deji Oshilaja and Naby Sarr return to the side with Ben Purrington, Jason Pearce and Albie Morgan moving to the bench and Lyle Taylor missing through injury.
Bowyer is expected to opt for a 3-5-2 formation with Dillon Phillips, one of four academy graduates in the line-up, starting in goal.
Tom Lockyer, Darren Pratley and Sarr are likely to make up a back three with Adam Matthews and Doughty operating as wing backs. Oshilaja, Ben Dempsey and Conor Gallagher make up the central midfield trio behind Josh Davison and Green, who impressed on debut in the FA Cup last week against the same opposition.
After playing at centre-half last week, there is a possibility Oshilaja could drop into the back three with Pratley moving into midfield. The versatility of the players selected also means the team could move into a 4-diamond-2 formation.
Jake Forster-Caskey returns to the bench for his first involvement since limping off with a hamstring injury against Bristol City in October.
The bench is made up of Ashley Maynard-Brewer, Purrington, Pearce, Morgan, Forster-Caskey, Jonny Williams and Tomer Hemed.
