George Lapslie, Aiden McGeady and Andre Green have been recalled to the starting lineup for today’s game against Huddersfield Town.
Lee Bowyer has made three changes from the midweek game at Sheffield Wednesday and it looks likely the Addicks will be operating a different formation from the 3-5-2 they began that match in.
From the side that started on Wednesday David Davis and Macauley Bonne move to the bench while Tom Lockyer begins his two-game suspension following his 10th yellow card of the season. Wales international Jonny Williams returns to the bench after a short spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
With the players selected a 4-3-3 formation looks most likely but Charlton could also start in a 4-diamond-2.
If operating in a 4-3-3 Adam Matthews, Deji Oshilaja, Jason Pearce and Alfie Doughty will make up the back four in front of Dillon Phillips. Josh Cullen, Lapslie and Erhun Oztumer are likely to operate as a three in midfield with McGeady and Green flanking Lyle Taylor up front.
If the Addicks do play in a 4-diamond-2 formation Cullen would likely hold in midfield with McGeady playing behind Taylor and Green.
Davis, Bonne and Williams are joined on the bench by Ben Amos, Ben Purrington, Matt Smith and Tomer Hemed.
Naby Sarr (calf) and Darren Pratley (back) remain out alongside longer-term absentees Sam Field and Lewis Page.
