Today marks this years annual World Book Day and to help celebrate the day, Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) have teamed up with WHSmith to provide free books to supporters ahead of our game against Middlesbrough on Saturday.
With the game against Boro being a Kids For A Quid fixture, this is a great opportunity to get a young Addick involved with the day.
Prior to the game, WHSmith will have a pop-up book stand by the Family Activity Zone and will be giving out children’s books. CACT staff and Sir Valiant or Robyn will be giving out the book vouchers that can be exchanged for a book. 150 books have been handed to us to give away.
Not yet booked your tickets for Saturday's game? You can get them here.
In the build up to the day CACT delivered story writing workshops with the aim to inspire other children to read more. As a reward for taking part, classes in this challenge were invited to the Addicks' game against Middlesbrough.
Furthermore, Children can dress up as their favourite book character and head to the Family Activity Zone with a pitchside experience up for grabs for the child with the best outfit.
