On Thursday morning the club was shocked and saddened by the news that loyal fan Seb Lewis had passed away aged just 38 after battling the COVID-19 virus.
Tributes poured in across social media from current and former Charlton players and staff for the Addick who had been present at each one of the club’s last 1,076 games.
Chris Solly wrote on Twitter: So sad to hear the news about Seb! The most dedicated and loyal football fan I’ve ever known and such a fun character, you’ll be truly missed by us all! #RIPSeb
Jason Euell also expressed his sadness at the news: #RIPSeb Gone but never forgotten. Once an Addick, Always an Addick Home & Away. #MadeInCharlton

Former players who knew Seb also took to twitter to pay their respects, with Ademola Lookman writing: A supporter I will never forget, Rest In peace Seb.
Joe Gomez gave his condolences to Seb's family and friends:"Rest in peace Seb, Thoughts go out to his family" while Ezri Konsa wrote: "So sad. RIP Seb."
Morgan Fox was also shocked by his passing: Horrible news. RIP Seb. My thoughts are with his family.
Patrick Bauer also wrote: Awful news. RIP Seb. A true legend. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
Tony Watt joined in with #StayHomeForSeb in the hopes that this will show people the importance of staying indoors to stop the spread of the virus.
Former manager Chris Powell also recalled his times meeting Seb, commenting on his dedication to the club: I've heard the very sad news about the passing of Seb Lewis, someone I got to know through my time as a player and manager at #cafc. If anyone could say they were Charlton through and through, it was Seb. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Seb.

Lee Bowyer praised Seb's dedication in following his beloved Addicks up and down the country also giving his condolences to his family and friends:

I was fortunate enough to meet him on a few occasions up and down the country because without fail he was always there. He’s going to be missed. He was the most loyal fan that we’ve had in my time and to do what he’s done for this club; to travel and be there no matter what the weather or where it was... it’s going to be a big miss to us in the terraces.
