With the games now coming thick and fast, the Addicks are back on the road on Tuesday as they go in search of a third straight victory against Cardiff City at Cardiff City Stadium (6pm).
Lee Bowyer's men secured a second straight 1-0 victory thanks to Darren Pratley's header at The Valley against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday and the boss will be hoping for more of the same in Wales to keep Charlton's distance from the bottom three.
The Bluebirds, meanwhile, have also restarted their season in good form with two wins from two as they occupy the last play-off position.
The Addicks have no fresh injury concerns following Saturday's win over QPR, but Bowyer may well be tempted to shuffle his pack in the midst of three games in six games.
Other than Lewis Page and Matt Smith's niggles, Charlton will have a full compliment to choose from against Cardiff.
The hosts, meanwhile, may be without Josh Murphy, who picked up an injury in the build-up to the season's restart and has missed his side's last two games.
Charlton Boss Lee Bowyer: “With seven games to go there is still a lot of time left, we’re not out of it now. We still have to focus and keep fighting for every point because this league can hurt you. We’ve had a good start, we’re in a good position but we have to keep fighting to the end because the most important thing for me is that we stay in the division.
Cardiff City boss Neil Harris: "We've learned over the last few months not to take anything for granted. It's all about Tuesday. We've had the praise and euphoria of two very good wins, but we now have to take those wins and take them into Charlton which will be every bit as tough."
Charlton and Cardiff have met on 75 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 33, the Bluebirds 22 and the 20 remaining fixtures ending in draws.
The last meeting resulted in a 2-2 draw at The Valley in November when Cardiff staged a second-half comeback to cancel out Charlton's two-goal lead.
The Addicks' last victory at Cardiff came in March 2015 when Yoni Buyen's 87th-minute penalty earned a 2-1 win.
Stephen Martin will be the man in the middle on Tuesday evening. He has taken charge of 31 games this season, dishing out 76 yellow cards and two reds.
It will be the fourth occasion he has refereed Charlton this term having overseen the 3-0 victory over Derby County at The Valley in October, as well as both meetings with Middlesbrough, home and away.
