The club can confirm first-team players Chris Solly and Lyle Taylor have left the club following the expiration of their contracts with Charlton.
Solly was part of two promotion sides, playing 313 games for Charlton and scoring three goals. The right-back joined Charlton as an 11-year-old and made his way through the Addicks’ esteemed academy. He was twice named Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013.
Taylor was Lee Bowyer’s first signing as Charlton Manager in 2018 and played 67 games for the Addicks, scoring 36 goals. The striker was named Player of the Year in 2019 after scoring 25 goals in all competitions during the club's promotion campaign.
Charlton Manager Bowyer said: “I would like to wish Chris and Lyle the best. They both gave everything for the club every time they pulled on the shirt and they’ve both been an important part of the team during my time here. I wish them all the best for the future."
The club can confirm the following U23s players have left the club following the expiration of their contracts with Charlton.

The club can also confirm that David Davis’ loan spell with Charlton has ended following the expiration of the deal and Matt Smith has now returned to his parent club Manchester City.

The club has taken up one-year options on Charles Clayden, Ben Dempsey, Nathan Harness, Jay Mingi, Joseph Osaghae, Johl Powell, Luca Vega and James Vennings, while Wassim Aouchria and Armando Junior Quitirna have signed new one-year contracts with a one-year option.
