Everyone at the football club was delighted to welcome supporters back into the stadium on Saturday.
The club would like to thank all those fans in attendance at The Valley, not just for their support, but for working with club staff so brilliantly and following all the protocols as asked.
The supporters’ cooperation has ensured that the club is in a better position to, hopefully, welcome even more fans back to The Valley in the near future.
The club would also like to pay tribute to all the hard-working staff who went over and above the call of duty to make Saturday possible.
It has been a real team effort with months of planning and everyone at the club pulled together to put a lot of new protocols in place.
The club would like to highlight, in particular, the work of Facilities, Health and Safety Manager Kishan Parmar, who has consistently gone the extra mile to make sure the correct guidelines and protocols were in place, working with our local council and the Sports Ground Safety Authority. He was key to the development of our COVID protocols and guidelines, adapting our stadium setup to meet new guidelines.
The club wants to continue to get more supporters back in the stadium for future games and will keep supporters updated on progress.
