The Addicks will be looking to get back to winning ways when they head to the LNER Stadium to take on Lincoln City on Sunday afternoon (3pm).
It will be Charlton's first league visit to Sincil Bank since 1960 and Lee Bowyer will be hoping to make it a winning return following last weekend's disappointment against Doncaster Rovers at The Valley.
The hosts have started their league season with two wins from two, beating Oxford 2-0 at home on opening day and earning a 2-1 victory at Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday.
They come into Sunday's clash off the back of a 7-2 defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Thursday evening.
Alex Gilbey has been sidelined by an Achilles injury which will keep him out of action for at least four week.
Jason Pearce remains Lee Bowyer's only other injury concern going into Sunday's match, but it will come too soon for Chuks Aneke who is continuing to isolate having tested positive for coronavirus last week.
There may be a place in the side for new arrival Ben Watson, who is eligible to play having signed for the club on Friday afternoon.
Lincoln will be without striker Callum Morton, who is set for a spell on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.
Charlton boss Lee Bowyer: "They’re a good side. I’ve watched them a couple of times, they’re strong, they’re physical. The one thing that stands out to me is their physicality and intensity, so we have to turn up and compete. As long as we do that, we’ve got a good chance."
Lincoln boss Michael Appleton: "We can take lots of positives away from the Liverpool game.
“In the second half we came out and gave them a game. We had some great chances and should have scored more if I’m honest. We showed great character, I didn’t have too much of a concern."
Charlton have met Lincoln City on 12 previous occasions with the Addicks winning seven and earning four draws, while the Imps have won just once.
The last meeting was in the League Cup 34 years ago when the Lennie Lawrence's side beat Lincoln 4-1 on aggregate over two legs - a 1-0 victory sealing matters in the second leg thanks to Steve Thompson's goal on October 8th, 1986.
You have to go all the way back to September 1960 for Charlton's last trip to Sincil Bank in the league. That encounter finished in a 2-2 draw.
Marc Edwards will be in charge of proceedings on Sunday afternoon. The 2019/20 season saw him referee 25 games in total, showing 62 yellow cards and only one red, which just so happened to be during Lincoln's 2-0 defeat at Peterborough United last term in which Posh's Louis Reed was dismissed.
It will be the first time he has ever refereed a match involving the Addicks.
The match at the LNER Stadium is being played behind closed doors and supporters are reminded to maintain social distancing guidelines and to stay away from the stadium when the match is taking place.
Supporters can follow all the build-up to the game on Charlton's official Instagram account, official Twitter account and Facebook page as usual.
